at Cricket Holler Leadership Camp

Construction crews are hard at work, transforming Cricket Holler into a top-notch Scout camp.  In the Fall of 2005, we began the arduous task of selecting architects, project managers, and construction companies.  As we entered the next phase of the project, steps were taken to clear the trees and build a new access road into the west side of the camp.  This was followed by excavation for electric, water, and sewer lines.  Concrete slabs were poured in April 2006 for the new training center (the Harry F. Schiewetz Leadership Assembly Hall), as well as four new cabins.

Early in February 2007, our young people were able to use the new facilities at the Cricket Holler Leadership Camp!  These renovations will provide the long-term infrastructure to support the character building programs of Scouting.

A brick walkway will be constructed at the camp and you have the opportunity to purchase either a standard 4" x 8" brink for $100 or an 8" x 8" brick for $200.
