District Adult Recognition Awards

Scouters: August 18, 2005

Below is a link to a list of Scouters who have received Miami District adult leader awards over the

past years and links to the nomination forms. Please not those who have received awards but especially

those who are not on the listing. There are many adult leaders in our District who work countless hours for

the benefit of our boys and ask nothing in return. You can give them something in return for their help and

dedication to the Boy Scout program. This listing is being published in order to help you determine who still

needs to be nominated for the various awards.

Please nominate one or more adult leaders for on or more of the District awards we give out each

year. The awards are the Boy Scout Leader of the Year Award, the Cub scout Leader of the Year Award,

Committee Member of the Year Award, Firecracker Award, Gene Casto Memorial Teepee Award,

Couple’s Award, Distinguished Scouter Award, and the District Award of Merit. Requirements for

consideration are listed below.

With the exception of the Distinguished Scouter Award, all nominations are due by the first Friday of

February 2006 or the February Roundtable (whichever is later). The Distinguished Scouter nominations are due

By December 1, 2005.
