Cub Scout Pack 161 participated in the 1st Pushmobile Race sponsored by the Miami Valley Council Boy Scouts of America. The race was held on Saturday, April 26 in the parking lot behind the former JC Penneys at the Salem Mall. With one boy in the driver's seat and one pushing, the race began. Cub Scouts were stationed at four intervals of 200 feet each, where a switch took place in the drivers and pushers. Pack 161 entered 2 pushmobiles - USA 1, powered by the Tigers and Wolfs; and USA 2 powered by the Bears and Webelos. USA 1 won Best of Show and USA 2 placed 2nd in the race.
