Pack 161 held their 2004 Blue & Gold Banquet on February 14, Valentine’s Day!
Troop 61 was also in attendance. This year’s theme was FIESTA!

Some of the dens decorated their tables with simple Piñatas filled with candy.
Adult Scout Leaders led the flag ceremony wearing sombreros. During advancements,
the Wolves earned their badge and so did the Webelos I. Dylan, a Webelos II, was
named 2004 Outstanding Scout. Our Cubmaster, Beverly Frame, presided over the
Arrow of Light Ceremony where all seven of the Webelos II received this highest
award earned by a Cub Scout. Six of the boys will continue on to Boy Scouts;
four of the boys were received into Troop 61 and two of the boys have not yet
decided on a Troop to join.

The Pack Committee thanked the Webelos II Den Leaders
and their assistants for doing an excellent job in retaining the boys in the
Scouting program. The Committee also thanked several of the parents who have
provided extraordinary service to the Pack. To end the evening, the boys had the
opportunity to "Pie" selected Scout Leaders, including the District Executive,
for $2 each. The money went toward Friends of Scouting.
